One Dough, Endless Possibilities
This pizza doughrecipe is a game changer. Whether its for a homemade pizza for a Saturday lunch, fluffy doughnuts, or even fat cakes, this dough does it all. Easy to make, soft and oh-so-versatile, its become a go to for our family meals.
(little secret its actually a Jamacian bread)
Ingredients:
2 Cups All Flour
1/2 Cup Warm Water
1/2 Cup Cold Milk
1/2 Tablespoon Instant Yeast
2 Tablespoon Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/4 Cup Softened Butter
METHOD
1. In a bowl add 1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
2. Mix the warm water with the cold milk to get a lukewarm temperature.
Add to the dry ingredients and mix well.
3. Cover and leave in the fridge for an hour
(this step is optional)
4. Add the other cup flour and mix together.
5. Now add the softened butter and knead till dough is nice and soft.
Dust with flour to make it workable if it gets too sticky.
6. Cover bowl with plastic wrap or a cloth and let the dough proof at room temeperature until it doubles in size.
7. Now cut in half and roll your dough out.
8. Put the topping of your choice and into the oven.
REMEMBER to PREHEAT your oven before you start.
9. Bake at 180 degree celcius for 15 mins
or untill golden brown at the bottom
(DEPENDING on your oven)
